Subject: Hogganfield Loch, 27 January 2009
Went to Hogganfield Loch for a couple of hours at 1200 hrs, was pretty wet with a light surface mist over the loch so didn't walk right around as I normaly would.

The birds present were Cormorant, Great Crested Grebe, Whooper Swan, Mute Swan, Mallard, Teal, Goosander, Goldeneye, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Coot, Moorhen, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Common Gull, Black-headed Gull, Pied wagtail, Starling, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Chaffinch, Jackdaw, Rook, Magpie and Carrion Crow.

The Lesser Scaup haven't been seen for a while (possibly the birds on Loch Leven, Vane Farm at moment?), also couldn't see any sign of the probable Yellow-legged Gull on the loch

Cheers, John
