Subject: Unknown Visitor In A Midlothian Garden
I have regular visits from some birds I cannot identify from my bird books....they are small and round shaped, buff coloured tummy, brown backs, creamy wing bars, brown stripes on their heads. at first I thought they were female chaffinches but their body shape is different and there are plenty of those around to compare them with. They dont have a typical finch type beak either. I'm sorry my terminology is rather basic...can anyone help?
