I have a Baader Hyperion Zoom Eye piece for sale, only 8 months old.

Basically

A high quality zoom eyepiece for demanding users who prefer to own one zoom eyepiece instead of a large selection of separate fixed focal length eyepieces. At 8mm focal length the Hyperion zoom has the same large field of view as the regular Hyperions. It narrows down to about the field of view of a Super Plossl at 24mm. This is still a lot more than many simpler zoom eyepieces!

The Hyperion Zoom can also be used on many spotting scopes. It is compatible with the following spotting scopes:

- TS standard spotting scopes (55mm, 80mm and 100mm)
- Celestron spotting scopes (65mm, 80mm and 100mm)
- Skywatcher / Acuter spotting scopes
- Zeiss spotting scopes
- some others ( see the various forums on the web )

In many cases the originally supplied zoom eyepiece limits the performance of a spotting scope. The Hyperion Zoom will improve image sharpness in most cases.

I paid £165 for it in May this year, it is in lovely condition comes in a secure box and a leather bag, it has various attachements for various scopes.

I am looking for £80 for it and sorry but no offer.

Reason i am selling is i have just purchased a new scope and this does NOT FIT ( opticron ).

Andy could you tell me if this would fit a Piccalo Compact 15-45x60 60mm OG fully coated just bought a few month ago on e-bay as a starter scope and i would like to change the lens. Regards Tabbyman. :)

The Piccolo Spotting Scope is a lightweight 60mm OG Instrument with a retractable lens hood, Fully coated optics and a 15-45x Zoom eyepiece. Available in either green/black or black/black body, the Piccolo is a competent Fieldscope for general field observation, target archery to 100m and other shooting disciplines. The Table Tripod is finished in black and features a pan and tilt head with fine wheel adjustment, which attaches to the integrated 1/4" tripod socket of the Spotting Scope.
(Please note, this product - although sourced by Opticron for it's high quality and good value - is not branded 'Opticron' and therefore, does not offer alternative eyepiece choices, that the Opticron branded equipment does.)

The fact the last bit says it does not take other opticron lenses does go in your favour, what you need to try and find out is

1) if the eyepiece is detatchable
2) eye piece size ( diamater of the hole ) that is left when eyepiece is out ie the bit the eye piece screws into.


My own honest opinion from what i have searched on the net is that it is not suitable for the scope.
