Post Brambling

I had three Brambling ( 2m + 1F) in my front garden (Wormit) this morning.  I've been looking for the last three weeks as more dirds than usual are visiting my feeders.

In fact it was finch central here this morning.  With the Brambling ( sorry to go on, but it's only my second sighting ever of these lovely migrants) were 4 Greenfinch, around a dozen Goldfinch, and the same of Chaffinch, a single Siskin and a lone male Bullfinch.

The female Blackcap is still a daily visitor.  I hope this rotten cold snap stay a while longer :-0
best regards, Bobmcc

I saw my first brambling down at Pagham harbour this winter, I hope to see one here one day. My garden is full of birds too....resident robin, dunnocks, greenfinch, chaffinch, blackcaps, goldfinches, two blackbirds (who chase each other away all the time, shame they cant call a truce in this weather). My neighbour has had fieldfares and snow buntings. Have only seen a few blue tits and great tits.... hope the others are doing ok...really hoping a bull finch or two may decide to drop by.
The peregrine sighting must have been amazing, poor oyster catcher!
